Having students create posters and publicly displaying them is a great strategy to give students a chance to review, research, and showcase what they have learned.
A great extension activity to posters is having the students do gallery walks. In order to facilitate a gallery walk, simply have the students display their posters throughout the classroom and then have the students roam around and appreciate the work of their peers. A great way to keep them on task is for them to write three things they learn from the posters of others in their learning journals or workbooks.
