My name is Kasey Anderson and I am an ESOL teacher at Wenchang Elementary School in Taipei City, Taiwan.
I moved to Taiwan in 2015 and have decided to make Taiwan my home. My love for the Taiwanese fills me with passion to make a positive difference here. I started my teaching career in a well-known cram school and then joined Taipei's public school system in 2017.
Over the last few years I have taken several steps to better equip myself to serve Taiwanese students. I have completed a professional education program through the University of West Florida, attained a professional teaching certificate from the Florida Department of Education, and finished a Masters of Science Degree in Teaching and Learning from Colorado State University (Global Campus).
Although I have achieved higher levels of education to further enhance my teaching practice, I am aware that learning never stops. The best teachers are the best learners. Therefore, I strive to continue to learn and improve my practice on a daily basis. Additionally, I am invigorated to share what I have learned with educators who find themselves in a similar context, mainly teaching English in Taiwan.
As a side note, this website started as a final project of my masters program at CSU Global, but now it has expanded into a useful tool for ESOL teachers.
