The Oxford Read and Discover series is a collection of educational books, catered to students learning English as a second language. As non-fiction CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) leveled readers, they blend learning English with learning relevant cross-curricular content. The books are broken up into small, interesting chapters that are perfect for 40-50 minute lessons.
Besides each chapter of text, the books also offer a while/post-reading activity sheet for each chapter. In addition, the books have great graphics, a picture dictionary (in the back), and free audio file downloads.

If you are considering to use this resource, please keep the limited English proficiency of typical Taiwanese students in mind. Specifically, I don't recommend anything over level 3 for elementary students. For example, I use level 1 books for 4th graders, level 2 books for 5th graders, and level 3 books for 6th graders. From my experience, these books are far too difficult for 1st-3rd grade students. As for those teaching junior high or high school, levels 4 and up might be the most suitable. While these are only general suggestions, your particular context may call for using different leveled books for certain grade levels.
